PROJECT BACKGROUND

Strabag had entered into a joint venture with Laing O’Rourke to bid for major tunneling works on the Cross Rail Project and to build out a series of the main stations on the line.

WHAT WE DID

Paul Winter Consulting Ltd. was commissioned help them initially pre-qualify for the works by following the EU standard procurement process for public infrastructure works and to support them with the bids for the main works.

This was Strabag’s first venture in the UK and we were able to provide guidance & advice on the UK construction market, as well as the process for undertaking the work.

This was a challenging commission as the joint venture partner to Strabag were not a recognised tunneling contractor and Strabag were not conversant with the UK regulations for construction projects.
