Deputy Project Manager
Ryan has had a variety of roles during his career and has over 10 years’ experience in construction – primarily part of the lifting team as a Slinger/ Signaller in the construction of student accommodation and retirement homes.
From his passion for nature and the desire to provide green solutions for a more sustainable future, Ryan undertook a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree specialising in Renewable Energy and Sustainability.
Upon achieving First Class honours, Ryan has worked as a Junior Project Engineer for a subsea cable consultancy involved in the connectivity of various countries’ national electricity grids, both internally within their own grid, and externally to other national grids.
Within this role, Ryan has undertaken an apprenticeship in project management, and completed his Association of Project Managers’ Project Management Qualification (APM PMQ).
As a Junior Project Engineer/ Apprentice Project Manager, Ryan has worked on desk top studies, environmental scoping documents, and project management plans such as project execution, risk management, QHSE management, communication, and schedules.
Seeking to develop his skills and knowledge, whilst contributing to an engineering industry that aligns closely with his interests, Ryan has joined Paul Winter Consultancy Ltd as a Deputy Project Manager to provide project support and coordination on various Energy-from-Waste plant, and Anaerobic Digestion plant projects.
Ryan has keen interests in decarbonisation, the transition to low-carbon energy, renewable energy technologies, sustainable engineering practices, increasing grid-flexibility, and has a strong passion for environmental conservation and species preservation.
