Supporting the EPCM contractor with commercial management services to deliver a sample preparation facility in Northfleet, Kent.
Project Background
Britannia Metals, part of the Glencore Group, commissioned the development of a new Sample Preparation Facility at Northfleet. The facility provides specialist laboratory space for preparing and testing materials, supporting Britannia Metals’operational and research requirements.
The project involved creating a modern, purpose-built laboratory that integrates specialist equipment, safety systems, and technical infrastructure to ensure accurate testing and reliable results.
What we did
PWCL supported SLR, who were appointed as the EPCM contractor, by providing commercial management services throughout the development and construction of the facility. Our role focused on ensuring cost control, contractual compliance, and effective management of procurement and subcontractor relationships.
PWCL’s input provided the commercial clarity and discipline needed to keep the project on track and safeguard value for the client.
